Chip Fudge's diverse background as franchise business owner, as senior manager in both privately held and publicly traded companies, and as coach/consultant to numerous CEO's and corporations, makes him ideally suited to his role as a FranChoice Consultant.
After graduating from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mr. Fudge began his career with Shell Oil Company in 1981 as a drilling engineer. Mr. Fudge advanced rapidly and in only five short years was placed in charge of several of Shell's deepest and most advanced drilling projects working with a 440 million dollar annual budget. In 1987 Mr. Fudge chose to expand his horizons by starting a sales and sales management career with HealthCare Source, a distributor of medical and dialysis equipment and supplies. In 1988 he oversaw their expansion into the durable medical equipment market and opened their first branch operation. During his distinguished career, Mr. Fudge participated in the public offering of their dialysis division (now Renal Care Group), served on several industry boards and committees, and received numerous industry awards and honors.
In the mid 90’s, Mr. Fudge purchased a Sandler Systems Franchise. Mr. Fudge provided sales and management training and coaching to his clients, CEO’s and top management. Mr. Fudge’s clients included franchise owners with franchises such as Sir Speedy and Optioncare, independently owned businesses, and several Fortune 100 corporations including Prudential Securities, Wheat First Securities, and Hewlett Packard. Again, Mr. Fudge distinguished himself by winning national recognition for his work including Sandler Systems prestigious Gold Award. In addition to working with his own clients, Mr. Fudge advised many new Sandler Systems Franchisees to help them establish their own successful businesses. In 1999, Charles & Colvard, Inc., a former client recruited Mr. Fudge to become vice president of sales. There Mr. Fudge had responsibility for worldwide sales with representatives in over 40 countries.
