Michael Cahill brings diversified franchise and business experience to FranChoice, and he would like to congratulate you on taking the first step toward business ownership.
Mr. Cahill understands the business environment. He began his career with Unisource, a national distribution company, as a customer service representative in Omaha, Nebraska. Within six months he had his own sales territory and from there became one of the youngest sales managers in the company. His experience there included several promotions as well as many opportunities to develop new people within the organization. He finished his career after twenty three years as a Division Manager in 1999.
At that point in his career he made the decision to purchase a business. He began looking at existing operations and concluded they were either too expensive, too risky or just not a good fit. The next step was franchising, but with so many companies out there, choosing the right one for him was an overwhelming task which took about a year. When reflecting back on that time in his life he wishes he had known about FranChoice then!
He ultimately purchased a Water To Go – Diet & Nutrition Center franchise and opened it in February of 2000. The following year in March he purchased the Area Development Rights for the state of New Mexico. He sold a new franchise every two months in his territory for the next twelve months.
In April of 2003 Mr. Cahill became the Vice-President and General Manager for the “Water To Go” Franchise. In the next three years the company grew from about thirty-five to over one-hundred locations in the United States and Canada.
During his career he won many awards for sales and distinguished service, however, the one he is most proud of is his “Small Business of the Year Award” given to him by the local Chamber of Commerce in his second year as a franchise owner.
Today, Michael utilizes his business knowledge of the franchise industry as a FranChoice consultant, offering professional advice to individuals researching a franchise business.
